SOSEGA Space: Travertine Marble, Calm, and Avant-Garde at Marbella Design 2026

There are spaces that are not just designed to be inhabited. They are designed to be felt.

From this idea, SOSEGA Space was born, the project that Margar Stone Project is presenting at Marbella Design 2026 alongside the architecture and interior design studio Paralela Taller Creativo. A proposal where the kitchen is no longer understood solely as a functional area, but becomes a contemporary refuge: a place for gathering, pausing, and connecting with the essential.

In an environment where design increasingly seeks to evoke emotion, natural stone becomes the primary language of the space. Its texture, origin, and presence provide a serene beauty, capable of transforming the kitchen into a sensory experience.

The Kitchen as a Refuge

SOSEGA Space stems from a very clear idea: returning to calm.

The kitchen is presented as the heart of the project, not from a perspective of speed or pure practicality, but from a more deliberate, warm, and architectural gaze. A space where materials have weight, where every volume is designed to endure, and where natural stone acts as the common thread.

The result is a kitchen that invites you to stop. To look. To touch. To experience the space from a sense of balance.

Travertine Marble as the Protagonist

In this proposal, travertine marble does not appear as a simple cladding. It becomes structure, volume, and presence.

Its nobility allows for the construction of pieces with great visual strength, while simultaneously maintaining a natural warmth that softens the overall composition. This duality is precisely what makes travertine such a special material: it can be monumental without being cold, and sophisticated without losing its connection to the earth.

In SOSEGA Space, different varieties of travertine coexist to create a composition rich in nuance, texture, and depth.

Polished Gold Travertine: A High-Impact Centerpiece

One of the most representative elements of the project is the central island, crafted in polished gold travertine.

Its finish provides luminosity, elegance, and a clean reading of the material, reinforcing the feeling of a sculptural block. The island does not function only as a work surface, but as the centerpiece of the space: a bold, minimalist element full of character.

The oven is also integrated into this same language, creating a visual continuity that reinforces the idea of unity and solidity. The stone envelops the design and turns the everyday into something extraordinary.

Fireplace and Murals: Texture, Warmth, and Movement

The warmth of gold travertine is also present in the fireplace, where the material provides an enveloping and sophisticated feel.

Alongside it, the murals in Bali travertine introduce a more organic and dynamic interplay. Their veins and natural variations generate movement, preventing the space from feeling static and providing a much more sensory experience.

Each piece has its own rhythm. Each vein tells a different part of the project.

Exclusive Latticework: Tradition and Avant-Garde in a Single Piece

One of the most unique elements of SOSEGA Space is its custom-designed latticework, made of national cream travertine.

This exclusive piece was born specifically for the project and adds a more architectural dimension to the whole. The latticework filters the light, generates depth, and creates a subtle relationship between privacy, transparency, and texture.

It is a resource that connects with Mediterranean tradition, yet is reinterpreted through a contemporary and avant-garde aesthetic. A demonstration of how natural stone can adapt to new languages without losing its essence.

Craftsmanship, Architecture, and Natural Stone

SOSEGA Space represents a way of understanding design where every material decision makes sense.

The collaboration between Margar Stone Project and Paralela Taller Creativo highlights the dialogue between craftsmanship, contemporary architecture, and natural stone. It is not just about using a noble material, but about bringing it to its maximum expression through design, technique, and sensitivity.

Here, travertine demonstrates its ability to build timeless, elegant, and deeply human spaces.

A Space to Return to the Essentials

SOSEGA is not just the name of the project. It is also an intention.

An invitation to recover calm within the home. To understand the kitchen as a place to gather, share, and connect. To value materials that endure, that age beautifully, and that provide identity to spaces.

At Marbella Design 2026, Margar Stone Project presents a proposal where natural stone does not just clad: it moves, structures, and transforms.

Because when design meets the right material, the result does not go unnoticed. It remains.
